Interesting facts:

 

  • The From Farm to Fork project started here at Stoughton in 2003 after the farm manager Nick and his wife Michelle thought it would be a good idea to invite local children to the farm to show them how cereals are produced and link this to the food that they eat.

 

  • The farm buildings at Stoughton were requisitioned by the RAF in World War 2 who built the hostel (where the children now cook when they visit the farm) as a gym for the pilots who flew from the next door airfield.
